This is a combination tour comprising of jeep safari and 5 days of trekking. We start at Leh and drive through Rupshu Region of Western Himalayas including Tsokar Lake, a famous destination for migratory birds. This offers an introduction to the Himalayan fauna, during the journey, you can spot red fox, marmots, Kyang (wild donkey). As we drive through the high passes such as Lachlung La, Baralacha La, we enter Lahaul . And from here we head towards Spiti Valley. From Pin we start the 5 days trek through the villages of Spiti such as Dhankar, Lalung, Damul and Kibber. In Spiti we visit some of the ancient monasteries such as Tabo, Dhankar, Key. |
